Calendar

September 30, 2010         Up to twenty finalists will be notified via e‑mail.
                                     The names of the finalists will be posted on http://onlyoriginals.org
              
October 30, 2010             Winners must submit digital portfolios by this date.

November 30, 2010          Online exhibition begins. Grand prize winner is announced.              

May 30, 2011                  Exhibition closes
          

Prizes

Five percent of entrants, up to maximum of twenty individuals, will be selected as finalists. 

Finalists will be asked to submit three to six examples of their work, which will then be posted on the Only Originals web site for a minimum of six months. Note that the gallery owner may reject any image that exhibits questionable artistic or photographic quality, or objectionable content (this is not to infer that tasteful nudes will be excluded). 

One grand prize winner will receive a cashier's check equal to one‑third of all collected entry fees. In other words, if 250 artists enter, the prize will be $1,250. If 500 enter, the prize will be $2,500. If 1,000 enter, the prize will be $5,000. Entrants will see the prize grow as artists are added to the participant list. The minimum cash prize, irrespective of  the number of entries, is $100. The maximum cash prize is $10,000.

The grand prize winner will be selected from the finalists' initial entries. The portfolios submitted will not be considered.

Family and close friends of the gallery owner are ineligible for the cash prize.

Commission

There is no commission on sales through the gallery. Interested buyers are referred directly to the artist.

Judge

The competition is judged by the gallery owner Carol Anna Fullerton‑Samsel. All decisions are final.
